Eyewuene Murphy-Akpieyi is a Nigerian law and governance professional with over eight years of experience in international law, good governance, anti-corruption, and asset recovery. She currently serves as a consultant with the African Union Advisory Board Against Corruption (AUABC), supporting programs on implementation of anti-corruption legal frameworks and the Common African Position on Asset Recovery (CAPAR), illicit financial flows (IFFs) and governance across African Union Member States.
Her career spans some of the world’s leading international justice institutions, including the International Criminal Court and the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, as well as private legal practice and the Nigerian Navy’s Western Naval Command. She holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Lagos, and a Master’s in Peace and Conflict Studies. Her current interests include artificial intelligence, illicit financial flows, project development, and strengthening governance systems across Africa.
