Franca Ovadje has a PhD in Business Administration from the IESE Business School in Barcelona Spain. She was a pioneer faculty member of the Lagos Business School (LBS) where she led sessions on Leadership, Change Management and Human Resource Management. She also taught on the African AMP at the IESE Business School in Barcelona and on several programmes in South Africa and Ghana. She is a visiting Professor at the Strathmore Business School in Kenya. In 2005, she received the African Management Scholar award. Franca is the author of the book ‘Change Leadership in Developing Countries’ published by Routledge, New York as well as several articles, book chapters and case studies including “What it takes to lead change in Africa” published in the Harvard Business Review case collection. She is the co-editor of the Handbook of Organizational Change in Africa After 25years at LBS, Professor Ovadje founded the Danne Institute for Research in loving memory of her parents Daniel & Anne Ovadje. She is passionate about contributing to Africa’s development and strongly believes that Africa’s growth and prosperity is hinged on rigorous, insightful research that will yield homegrown solutions that account for the uniqueness of Africa
