Bold Ideas, Real Impact: Investing in Nigeria’s Future

At the Symposium held in Atlanta to celebrate the Centenary of Sir Daniel Ovadje, Professor Franca Ovadje introduced attendees to Danne Institute for Research’s mission and core values. She also highlighted the impact driven by key projects that have been delivered by the think thank such as “Connectivity and Productivity in Lagos” and “Remote Work: Lessons from the Lockdown.”

Looking ahead, she said Danne Institute, will focus its research in the next five years on Education, Job creation and Governance. She affirmed her belief in the power of knowledge to transform society.

Professor Ovadje emphasized that Danne needed partners to realize its dreams. Partners who share a vision for Nigeria and who would like to contribute to its realization. To this end, she encouraged Nigerians in the diaspora to bring Nigeria into their personal and corporate giving by donating to the Danne Institute for Research. According to her, if Africa is to rise to its potential, the role of Think Tanks like Danne Institute cannot be overemphasized.

Participants at the Symposium suggested research projects that Danne Institute could carry out to transform Nigeria. Professor Ovadje concluded that by donating to the Institute, they would be planting seeds back home, seeds that future generations will harvest.
